The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is generally a positive aspect, but it may also have negative effects. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.

Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their stats. For example, if you upgrade a helm or chest, this will increase its base defense while a belt and gloves will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain when upgraded in addition to their relative values. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circling arrows in the menu for items. The item upgrader kit will be rerolled and alter its stats, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

The Champion Leathers, for instance, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to keep up in cold environments with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with your comrades.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of a Mage.
