Components

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it's possible that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons.
