Boosters
There are a myriad of boosts you can get with an upgrader. These can include stats, as well as additional bonuses. These bonuses can be incorporated into weapons, armor, and trinkets. They can be used to boost the capabilities of the character, or can be added as an element of variety to an existing build.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to upgrade the quality of their equipment by spending money at an upgrader for items NPC. This system was introduced in Mists of Pandaria and was extended with the release of Warlords of Draenor. It's a convenient method to raise the level of your equipment, letting you to avoid the tedious grind and avoid the countless wipes in Mythicand Dungeons.
When an item is upgraded, its base type changes. When upgrading a normal item, it creates an Exceptional item upgrading while upgrading an item that is Exceptional will result in an elite version of the base item. The item will be able to keep the stats it had prior to upgrading, and will gain an extra bonus from its new base type. The bonus will be randomly chosen from the following options: an opportunity to acquire weapons with a greater damage range and a chance to gain an improved reload speed, or a chance to gain a higher max defense roll.
The number of upgrades you do will determine the amount of extras you will receive. Each upgrade boosts the corresponding extras by increments of 1 up to a maximum of three. Each upgrade will also boost the stats in the main menu by +1.
In addition to the stat boosts certain upgrades can also provide a random boost. These boosts can be extremely valuable and must be considered when choosing which items to upgrade. Certain boosts can only be used in specific designs (such the Whistan's Shield in FB Sorcs) While others are valuable to collectors.
Some items come with built-in boos which is less beneficial when upgraded. For example, the Goldwrap offers an additional potion slots. These are usually upgraded to inject more value into the perfect or nearly perfect item upgrades.
Costs
Upgrades have certain costs associated with them. The first is the cost to perform the upgrade. The cost is based on the new level of the item and the number of perks it receives and can be costly. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).
The other is the cost of the items needed to upgrade. The items used are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing certain Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials are available in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take up to 8 hours depending on the size of an upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the item's new ilvl bonuses, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, and other vital statistics. In certain cases an upgrade may grant additional benefits. These perks are listed on a table.
In rare cases the upgrade will replace only the most expensive bonuses. Sometimes, the upgrader may make other adjustments to an item, such as changing the damage type of a weapon or or removing an unwieldy or operative property. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl, and may require special materials, like Adamantine.
Success Rate
The upgrading of an item is dependent on the chance. Like any random system there is a chance that it won't succeed. There are several methods to increase your odds of success. This includes the use of an item called an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional components to the upgrade.
The Upgrade Pity can be bought from the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of a successful upgrade by some percentage. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that some items offer however it is more reliable. It can be added to any weapons or armor, and is used three times.
It is also possible to add a number of additional elements to the upgrade, increasing its chances of success. They are displayed in a separate window, above the + button. However, there are some limitations to this, and the highest amount of material that can be added is shown just above the + button in the user interface.
A Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version, can be used to boost the odds of an upgrade being successful. This item is beneficial when you own a weapon or piece of equipment that is at the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it. It will let you upgrade the equipment to the next level without having to worry about breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful the system will be returned to its initial state. This is typically a break, but it can also be a downgrade. It is a good idea to save upgrades for when you're close to the maximum capacity of an item, and use it as an option last resort.
Kafra has a number of items that can be utilized to increase the chance of a successful upgrade. You can increase the chances of success by upgrading equipment several times using HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. In the same way, increasing the likelihood to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will also improve the chances of success.
Failure Rate
The item upgrader allows players to add a second slot to their equipment. These slots can be used to apply an enchantment or upgrade an item. It is important to note that not all items are upgradeable. The rank of an item will determine the speed at which it can be upgraded and enchanted. The higher the rank, the more zeny and items you will need to upgrade it.
This system is expensive particularly if you are looking for top-quality gear. Upgrades to armor and weapons can cost up to 100,000 Z or 100 Carnium. The chance of success also decreases as you progress in rank. However, you can use cash shop items to increase your chances of upgrading your item efficiently.
Normal Upgrade is the most basic upgrade that can be carried out on weapons, armor pieces and bicycles. It requires different grades of core, dependent on the kind of item. In general, lower-grade items require lower-cost cores whereas higher grade ones require more expensive ones.
To carry out a normal upgrade it is necessary to first have the proper number of cores. Click the button next to the item you wish to upgrade once you've got the cores. The upgrade window will then display a percent indicator of your chances of success. The percentage is based on the upgrade level and core type of the item you have selected.
You can also select an item that is protected by a safeguard your product in the event of a failure. This protection is not free, but the cost will be lower than a new Item Upgrader Mod. The safeguard can be used once per upgrade, and is not a valid expiry date unless it is re-used.
The UI for the item upgrader may be a bit difficult to navigate, but it's not difficult to navigate. The main menu is displayed on the left and the upgrade item window on the right. The arrows on the left side of the UI represent the different stages of the upgrade process. If you're not certain what you're doing, click the question mark icon to get help. The upgrade process could take as long as five minutes.
