Item Upgrade: A Simple Definition

The process of upgrading an item, often known as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment provides an increase in the linearity of a given stat.

Players can recycle six items at a time to gauge the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items scales according to their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrading upgrade is a way to boost the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be done through a number of means such as using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. A lot of items can be reforged to increase their stats.

Upgradeable items can be found in the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The main way to upgrade equipment is by making use of upgrade components which are the items that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment has upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others offer a general bonus.

There are many types of upgrade components in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. The amount of upgrade components required for a given item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The cost of upgrading increases as the level and rarity of the item. However you can cut down on the cost by purchasing upgrades from a merchant or trading them with other players.

Many weapons can be improved by adding a prefix, such as a rune, or an insignia. Some can be upgraded with a suffix. These upgrades change the name of the item, adding an adjective, like "Radiant" or "Minor vigor. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable weapons, such as shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which are not upgradeable with any mods.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to convey visual information. They animate in order to draw the attention of the viewer and entice curiosity. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language and makes them more effective in conveying the message of a language barrier. Glyphs can also increase the retention of the message by triggering an emotional connection in the brain.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by certain amount. This is displayed on the item upgrading when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This range is not the actual amount by which the glyph will increase the stat, but rather the maximum value by which it is able to do so. The value of the glyph depends on the tier and the quality of the product you are in awe of.

The majority of upgrade components that are installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them except for legendary upgrades and equipment. If you do have a rune or glyph that has not yet been added to your gear, you can move it to another piece of equipment by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu on the Glyphs panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you want to remove a glyph from a piece of then you'll need to salvage it with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item will be destroyed within which it is placed however, you can salvage the upgraded item by using the glyph and its shards, therefore it should not be considered as a loss.

The developers have no plans to introduce paid rerolls at this point in the game's development. Instead, they're planning include a race change potion in the near future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to level up an upgrade to an item upgrader mod. The most effective method to level up an upgrade to an item is by increasing the amount of upgrade. This boosts the upgrade value for a stat. The second option is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which can increase damage or healing for an individual stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. The upgraded item will keep its iLevel, but will have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.
