The upgrade of gear can increase its stats base and often enhances its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are made available.

Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, like armor, weapon, or ring. This replaces the item with another of the same kind and comes with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are an affordable way to upgrade gear. They don't keep the original item's level, and any resources wasted aren't rewarded.
The survivors can acquire reroll tokens via a variety of methods, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute on an item, such as increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.
Players can roll their equipment in three aspects three categories: physical power, magic power and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase the damage of melee and weapons attack while upgrades to spell power boost mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade elevates an item to a higher-quality and requires a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require an item that is either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers that are placed on action spaces the reroll marker stays on the space until the next Success result is repeated. This lets you avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Stage, and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened they will display a complete description and the icon of the relevant appliance or ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for the amount of coins.
This means that you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a game. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop has available to reroll and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These stones are special stones which increase the value of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. Additionally, players can acquire these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment to upgrade gear, players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". The menu will appear showing the item's current level and what it will be when being upgraded, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Typically, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires a single blue or green Growth Stone.
After selecting the item to upgrade the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. Once the requirements are fulfilled, the player may select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a specific percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and will not affect the item's longevity. This makes it an excellent method for players to gain a significant advantage in combat without straining their accounts. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded piece of gear onto the new gear.
The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for new players. However, there are many methods to obtain them, including contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. Additionally, players can cut down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets you increase the effectiveness of weapons and armor. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It's done by the combination of an item with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will gain an upgrade to a higher level. This process can continue until the item reaches its highest level.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon beside their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, can't be added to more than one item at once. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a specific amount of items to be used in addition to a minimum amount for the equipment.
The upgrade items Station comes with two slots: the left is where players can add an item that they wish to upgrade, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Once players have enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item upgrades is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small percentage. The maximum level of an item upgrades is 19.
When an item reaches its maximum level and is no longer upgraded, it does not have the option to upgrade. In the same way, once an item reaches an upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to offer an additional bonus or effect when the equipment is equipped. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements
Item upgrades give players the ability to increase certain stats of weapons and armor they currently have. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary depending on its type however, you'll generally require Dilithium along with a number Upgrade tokens.
Upgrades to items can be used to make sets and weapons for added effects or a higher item level. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources, including crafting, buying at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component has been inserted into an object, it cannot be removed or replaced. However the glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can increase the item's statistics.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases defense base and provides an additional 20% chance to block. In addition the dps enhancement "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get the perfect roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for instance, is highly valued by melee PvP communities and could be worth as much as 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.
When you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an item the game will display an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. The game will display the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item level upgrade.
The game will place an item in your inventory after you have fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show you how close you are towards finishing the upgrade. You can also track the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
